A fire at the Colorado Springs Airport in April 2018 caused extensive damage to The Bristol Tap Room and the Novo Coffee Shop. After the cleanup, the restoration happened in two phases with the Bristol Tap Room bar and kitchen reopened in November of 2018 and Novo Coffee reopening in June of 2019. The project is a complete remodel and fire restoration salvaging existing framing, equipment, fixtures and other systems that were not damaged and replacement of those that were. The project presented many unique challenges in evaluating the damage and tracking down all the low voltage and electrical issues caused by the fire. The remodel was topped off with new finishes and fixtures throughout.
