Cripple Creek Fire and Opera House

Renovation of an undersized and dilapidated fire station in a historical building in Cripple Creek. Project included inside parking for the pumpers, ladder trucks, and ambulances as well as comfortable sleeping quarters for male and female firefighters, a lounge area, and a kitchen.  A second story was added to the one story portion of the building.

During the research on the history of the building, it was discovered that the upstairs storage area was an old opera house.  The opera house renovation has beautiful oak floors, modern bathrooms with gold-colored fixtures, a handmade bar in the lounge area, and an elevator to meet federal accessibility requirements. It boasts 174 permanent seats, 1,359 square foot stage, and a state of the art lighting and sound system.
